Moss Control

Moss in lawns is a major problem that contributes to poor lawn health by providing competition and choking out grass growth. Moss is a rootless, non-flowering plant that spreads quickly via spores. It thrives in damp, shaded conditions and usually invades during winter when the lawn isn’t growing as much. It’s best to control moss through the winter months to prevent issues rather than waiting until spring to address them.

Leave the lawn with a little more length over winter and ensure the lawn is clear of any overhanging trees or shrubs to allow as much light as possible. Also, remove any leaves or debris.
